Living in Tremblant

March 4th, 2014

An Inside Look with Karen Guay

Living in Tremblant is definitely a lifestyle some of us cannot imagine, nor believe that people actually live in a resort town.  But there are many hundreds of families that call Tremblant home, and love the resort lifestyle and all it has to offer them.

We sat down with Karen Guay, wife of Olympic Skier Erik Guay, and mother of two beautiful girls, with a third child on the way.   “We love the relaxed, slower lifestyle you find here in the country, living close to the resort is great for a mom like me, I can park, and the kids can explore and run around, and I don’t have to worry about traffic, or busy streets while they are playing, not to mention all the activities that are offered on a regular basis.  We have a great network of friends in the area with young families as well, so it makes entertaining your kids that much easier.  The summers here are my favorite, with lots of lakes and beaches easily accessible to us by cycling trails, we can bike everywhere and even though it is a resort town, you can find pretty much any service that you would find in a big city. “

Karen was born and raised in a small town in northern Alberta, Tremblant is definitely a change of pace for Karen.  “We purchased our home here seven years ago, and I really fell in love with the town right away, and knew I would have no problems calling Tremblant home.  We have travelled a bit throughout the last seven years, and even lived in Calgary for a couple years, because of his training schedule, and I really missed being in Tremblant.”
